Advisory Board Positions are still open

Gulf Archaeology Research Institute is pleased to announce our newest endeavor – the creation of a new research department called the Center for Integrative Research in Conflict Archaeology (CIRCA).
This new center strives to form unique collaborations amongst different disciplines to advance our understanding of conflict. Our mission is to provide a holistic approach to conflicts that brings together archaeologists, anthropologists, historians, tribal members, active duty military, and other related fields that work to broaden the scope of the study of conflict and incorporates new ideas and technologies.
Research Fellowship applications are closed and will reopen in January 2027 for the next two year fellowship cycle.
We are always looking for volunteers to serve on an Advisory Board to help us grow CIRCA, to meet our collective needs, provide mentorship to the cohort of research fellows, and to lend your expertise to CIRCA. This is a 3 year, unpaid, non-voting advisory position. Participation as a CIRCA advisor will provide a valuable service to developing this research center to be something meaningful and in return you will have a professional affiliation, an email address, and an academic home base if you do not have a university affiliation.
The ultimate goal is to grow this nonprofit research center into a hub of conflict research, providing a go-to place for scholarly information, a place to network with other scholars, and a think-tank style of cutting edge new scholarship.
To apply for the 3 year Advisory Board position please send a short cover letter stating your interest and background and your resume or CV. This is open to any career stage scholars.
