We are excited to announce several new opportunities to become more actively involved with the Center for the Integrative Research in Conflict Archaeology (CIRCA)!

As CIRCA continues to grow, we are looking for people who want to help us build a stronger, more connected community for conflict archaeology and related fields. Whether you are a student looking for your first opportunity to become involved in professional service or an experienced researcher interested in helping shape the future of the organization, we would love to hear from you.

Student Advisory Committee

We are seeking 3–5 students to join our Student Advisory Committee for a three-year volunteer term. This committee will help ensure that CIRCA continues to develop programs and opportunities that meet the needs of the next generation of conflict archaeologists.

Student Committee members will help:

• Promote CIRCA and the Fields of Conflict Conference within student communities
• Organize a student session and reception at the next Fields of Conflict Conference
• Develop conference preparation and practice sessions for students
• Identify and develop resources, workshops, lectures, and other activities that benefit students
• Provide student perspectives and recommendations to CIRCA leadership

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in professional service, build connections with other students and researchers, and have a direct voice in shaping CIRCA’s future.

Help Shape the Future of the Fields of Conflict Conference

We are also looking for individuals interested in helping CIRCA develop a more sustainable framework for the Fields of Conflict Conference.

This group will help us plan for the future of the conference by assisting with the selection of future hosts, developing guidelines for the use of remaining conference funds, creating a conference handbook, and providing mentorship and support to future conference organizers.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with conference, organizational, or professional experience to help ensure that the Fields of Conflict Conference continues to thrive for years to come.
